What's the difference between BTE and the styles you sell (ITE, ITC, CIC)?+
BTE (behind-the-ear) is the classic hearing aid style: a case sits behind the ear with a thin tube running to the ear canal. It's powerful and easy to handle, but it's also the most visible style and the one most people picture when they think "hearing aid." We focus on custom in-ear styles instead — ITE (in-the-ear), ITC (in-the-canal), and CIC (completely-in-canal) — which sit within or inside the ear itself for a far more discreet, closer-to-invisible fit, at a lower price than most BTE devices on the market. See the "Styles we fit" section above for how ITE, ITC, and CIC compare to each other.
Which style is right for my level of hearing loss?+
As a general guide, CIC suits mild to moderate hearing loss where discretion matters most; ITC handles mild to moderate loss with slightly easier handling; and ITE handles mild to moderately severe loss and offers the most room for controls and battery life among our styles. Take our free hearing test or message us on WhatsApp and we'll help you match a style to your actual results, not just a guess.
How long does the battery last?+
It depends on style and model. ITE devices have the largest battery and often include rechargeable options good for a full day's use; ITC devices sit in the middle; CIC devices are the smallest and typically use disposable batteries that need more frequent changes simply because there's less room inside the shell.
Will people be able to tell I'm wearing a hearing aid?+
Our CIC and ITC styles sit deep in the ear canal and are very hard to notice in everyday conversation. ITE sits a little more visibly within the outer ear but is still far more discreet than a behind-the-ear device.
Do these hearing aids work with phone calls and TV?+
Yes. All three device lines support multiple listening programs that adjust for phone calls, TV, and noisy environments, and Premium Crest — AI adds automatic scene detection that switches programs for you.
